I don’t normally watch American Idol past the initial auditions.  There are just better things I could watch during that time slot.  Tonight, there is nothing else on because of basketball on CBS, and I want to be sure I’m on Fox at 9 when Hell’s Kitchen comes on, so I’m stuck with AI tonight.

My question is, since this is a singing contest why are they lip syncing the opening number?

I just saw a commercial for the new digitally remastered version of Disney’s Pinocchio.  I was floored when at the end of it they announced that ALL Disney Blu-Ray versions will now include a DVD copy of the movie.  This is brilliant as it allows people to be forward thinking and get the Blu-Ray version of the movie even if they don’t have a Blu-Ray player, yet.

If it had occurred to Sony to try and pressure/sponsor something like this when the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD battle was in full swing the war would not have lasted as long as it did.
